Computer/Playstation keyboard question
Anyone I know got a playstation 2 with the logitech USB keyboard?

I've been looking for a reasonably priced (ie under 50 quid) short keyboard for my computer. My main requirement is to get rid fo the numeric keypad... I don't use it so there is no need to push the mouse out 6 miles to my right.

Anyway, I spotted the playstation 2 keyboard in HMV a couple of days ago. It seems sensible that they would make it based on a normal keyboard, or am I being too optimistic?

What are the chances of:
a) Windows XP recognising it and using it as a keyboard properly?
b) Your average linux install recognising it?

Well the PS2 USB port is a normal one as far as I have heard.
so it should be able to talk to a PC if someone writes drivers for it. If it uses standard drivers you'll be fine otherwise you'll probably have more chance of someone writing drivers for linux.

if the keyboard your refering to is the Logitech one with the joypad taped to the sides, I have it and its quite good.

I've no idea whether it'd work on a PC but I see no reason it shouldnt. You may borrow it if you wish to check it out, but I'd need it back fairly quickly (ie after a week or so).

There is a plain logitech one which I think is the same as the one you have but doesn't ahve the joypad on it.

No need to borrow it, but if you have a PC I'd be grateful if you could plug it in and see what it is detected as?

I'm considering getting out of Cam too... the end of the world is just too silly!

anyone who couldnt see that coming a friggin year off seriously needs their character sheet examined. utterly moronic. and pre-scripted.

in one scene the Tremere went from 'feared and respected' to phenomenal cosmic smeg.

hmm... thinking about it, the Logitech one uses officially licenced Sony hardware, and since the PS2 works based on a Linux platform, it would make sense to have complatibility.

to be honest I know bugger all about that anyway

still worth a try though
